If you've got the creative vibe goin' on, then this is the blog post for you. Recently, I had to do a presentation for this research project. I thought to myself, Okay, this is easy. Just put all the information on some slides in Powerpoint and I'll be done! But... PLOT TWIST! My teacher told our class to "... get creative with it. It doesn't have to be only on Powerpoint!" Aha. Oh, the possibilities... I'll list a few ideas below!
1. A Storybook/Children's Book- This is for the future authors/amazingly-talented artists out there! This option is perfect for projects that involve researching a historical figure or a historical event. Get creative with it!
2. A Game- Games are a fun way to involve the class in a fun activity while still learning something new! Board games in particular are easy and fun because you can make your own character pieces that move along the board. This would be an awesome choice for a presentation about a book; the "Finish" could be what the main character strives to do throughout the novel!
3. A Fake Documentary/Video- For all you tech-savvy smarties, creating a video/documentary about your topic is an extremely fun experience. This is definitely one of the most time-consuming projects, but is certainly one of the fun choices! I recommend asking a couple friends to star in your film... it makes the process more enjoyable and you'll most likely have lots of hilarious bloopers to add to the end!
4. A Fake Trailer- This goes along with the documentary-style presentation, but this is a lot shorter and is easier to film, since you don't need to type out an entire script. The few lines that are spoken should include your required information, though! This is another wonderful opportunity to get creative and get some laughs from your class! Dramatic action trailers are especially fun because you can do that hair-flip-thing in slow motion, if you know how to do that! *wink*
5. A Photo-album/Scrapbook- Again, this is a great way to get artistic and creative. You could turn it into a baby scrapbook! You can draw it yourself or print some pictures off the Internet and add some stickers!
6. A Skit- Calling all actors and stand-up comedians! I feel like this option would be very entertaining to watch. If you're not comfortable with performing by yourself, print off a couple more copies of the script and ask for volunteers in your class to act as one of the characters! This could become a fun experience for the whole class.
7. Prezi- When I discovered this website, I was hooked. It's like a typical slideshow, but better. You really have to see it yourself. It is a little confusing at first, but once you get the hang of it, you might go through a phase where you use it for everything! Definitely more traditional than the rest of the options, but it really is fun!
8. A Presentation Board- This is another simple option. It's a much more formal way of presenting your information, but you can arrange it however you want on the blank canvas! Add fun colors, cool backgrounds, and even draw on it! What can't you do with poster board?
9. A Song/Rap- I'm sure you've seen at least one of these on YouTube. Songs are catchy, sometimes hilarious, and fun, but they get the point across. Even if you're not a singer, print out the lyrics and have the class sing it! The raps are always really funny as well :D
10. A Poem- Rhyming is always fun... yes, you know it is! Poems can also be really catchy, and let me just tell you... using poetic language to describe certain topics can get really humorous too!

So, there ya go. I hope these ideas helped inspire you to pick a creative way to present! Make sure you check with your teacher before you do it though, wouldn't want to waste all that hard work! If you tried any of these ideas or if you have any additional presentation styles, leave it in a comment below!
Good luck!
