First, here is a screenshot of my "Education" folder on my home screen:
1. Infinite Campus- If your school uses Infinite Campus to post grades and missing assignments, make sure you download this app to check your grades wherever you are! I use this to check for test grades if I don't have immediate access to a laptop! I know everyone experiences that period of anxiety after taking an important exam or project ;)
2. Google Drive- Google Drive is one of the most amazing-est inventions ever. I love how I can work on essays or papers to pass the time whenever, wherever! I also like to organize all of my documents in separate folders depending on the class or semester.
3. SparkNotes- Definitely important for trying to understand complicatedly-worded books in that Literature class of yours. But make sure you still read the actual novel!! Trust me, it will help you get used to the complex writing-style.
4. StudyBlue- Especially for final exams, StudyBlue is perfect for reviewing terms and definitions. It's pretty much a flashcard app, and I love the blue an black color scheme! Much more appealing than the standard index card format. Like I wrote in my previous blog post, it is also good to have actual index cards so you can write everything out manually.
5. TED- This app is pretty much just used for entertainment. There are very interesting talks about fascinating discoveries, talents, and inventions from all over the world! It's super cool!
6. SAT Question of the Day
&
7. SAT Up- These two apps are perfect for daily practice for the SAT! Much more convenient than lugging around those thick prep books, in my opinion!
8. Brainscape- Another studying app, Brainscape allows you to choose how well you know the answer to a question. That way, you don't have to go back over the terms you know inside-and-out and focus on the ones you struggle with!
9. MyScript Calculator- Let's admit it, math isn't the most exciting subject all the time. Instead of using the normal calculator app on your iPhone/iPod, this app allows you to write the mathematic problem on a pad, and your handwriting is transformed into text along with the answer!

I hope this blog post was very useful for all of you. These apps are extremely helpful for the school year, so I hope they aid you well! I apologize for the late upload, but school just started for me on Wednesday and I have already been super busy with AP classes and volleyball! My goal for this school year is to post blogs every Friday/Saturday, because those are the days where I will most likely not be busy with homework! Thanks for your support!
Please email your suggestions for blog posts to artofhighschooling@gmail.com! Thanks :)
Good luck!
-B.
