Focus @ Will

Try it now online!
If you're like me, then you know that staying focused while doing homework or studying is hard to do for a long time. "Checking Facebook" during a break might eventually lead to watching hilarious Vines over and over...

Anyways, my dad introduced me to this app that plays music that you "listen" to while studying or whatever you're doing that requires concentration. The reason I put quotation marks around the word "listen" is because the point of having the music is so that you don't listen to it. The music isn't great-- it doesn't have words and has simple (boring-ish) melodies. Instead, it sends waves to your head to soothe the part of your brain that allows you to focus and decrease the tendency to get distracted. It plays in cycles of 60 minutes, so when that hour is over, you can take a break or get a drink of water.

I have been using this app for a week now, and it really helps! If you are curious, I have it set to Up Tempo and Med. Intensity. I love how you can customize the type of music you listen to and skip a song if you don't like it... kinda like Pandora! I recommend using earphones because it directs the sound waves straight to your ear and brain (there's a whole scientific study on it if you want to learn more)!

Leave a comment below telling me what you think about this new technology!

Good luck!
-B.
